Who is Lucas Wilson?

Originally from Port Dover, Kelly met Lucas Wilson during their high school drama class and soon after started as his onstage assistant in 2009. Since then, she has performed alongside Lucas both on stage and international television.

Kelly is a graduate of George Brown College where she studied acting in their three year conservatory program for Theatre Arts. Primarily an actor, Kelly's theatre credits include:  Spring Awakening, A Fond Husband, The Europeans (GBC Theatre) The Buddy Holly Story, Beauty and the Beast (Theatre Norfolk) Miss Saigon (Theatre Aquarius)

The time she spends performing with Lucas is an absolute dream. From the hot lights of the stage to loading the truck when the show is over, Kelly enjoys every minute working with Lucas Wilson as he redesigns magic!

Lucas Wilson has been performing magic since he was just 4! Today at the age of 26, he has been seen by millions, both on international television and live onstage!

Lucas is Canada's ONLY FOUR TIME Guinness World Record holding illusionist! On June 8th, 2012 Lucas broke the Guinness World Record for fastest escape from a straitjacket while hanging upside down! His record time was a mere 8.40 seconds! That same night he broke the Guinness World Record for fastest escape from a straitjacket, wrapped in chains hanging upside down. He had previously broken that record 3 times bringing it to a time of 19.2 seconds but he brought the time down one more time to 10.6 seconds!

In July of 2014, Lucas travelled to Italy to film the show Lo Show Dei Record. On the show Lucas broke the Guinness World Record for fastest escape from a straitjacket underwater! Escaping in a new record time of 22.86 seconds! This secured Lucas his THIRD official Guinness World Record. Lucas had also previously broken the underwater record twice.


In September of 2016, Lucas appear LIVE from New York City on NBC's TODAY Show. He was presented with his 4th official Guinness World Record™ on the show. Lucas managed to escape from 98 straitjackets in one hour, breaking the previous record of 54 straitjackets.

On March 24th, 2013, Lucas and Kelly appeared on the popular CBC show Dragons’ Den! They went in asking for $20,000 for full sponsorship of their new Guinness World Record attempt. Kevin O’Leary said, he “loved” them and would give them the full amount. Before Lucas could take Kevin’s deal, Arlene Dickinson outbid Kevin, offering $25,000 for the same thing! Watch the full pitch by clicking here!

In March of 2012, Lucas took part in the first season of Canada's Got Talent on City TV. Beating out over 14,000 people in Toronto making it into the TOP 21 for Toronto! The judges said he was amazing! Watch the full audition by clicking here!

Recently, Lucas received a letter from the Government of Canada recognizing him for his hard work and dedication in the art of illusion.

Currently, Lucas is working on new illusions and practicing for his next Guinness World Record.
